Why Essential Oils?

I started using essential oils myself over a year ago. I was in the process of healing my body from digestive ruin and years of using cortisone creams to control eczema outbreaks. I knew there had to be a better way so when I was introduced to essential oils by a friend I was ready to try something new to support my body.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are extracts from plants. They are very potent – 1 drop is all you need. Many oils need to be diluted with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil. Essential oils should be sustainably sourced. Certain companies make sure to do this such as the company get my oils from.

My favorite oils:

Lavender – I personally use lavender EO (essential oil) every day. It’s great for calming the mind and also any skin ailments. Some people even love the way it smells, yup it can even be used to replace a perfume.

Frankincense – Great for calming the mind and bringing a sense of peace, perfect for those crazy days. Rub 1 drop in your hands then breathe in and also rub on back of the neck.

Lemon – Can be mixed with white vinegar and water to make a homemade disinfectant spray.

Different Way to Use Essential Oils

1. Aromatic – add a few drops of essential oil plus water to a diffuser. Or rub a drop into hands and breathe in. only certain oils can be used for this.

2. Topical – apply essential oils to bottom of feet on reflexology points. Apply directly to affected areas on the body, such as a sore muscle.

3. Internally – only certain oils can be used internally. Add a drop to water and drink.
