Pan-Seared Sea Scallops With Steamed Veggies

My pallet has evolved over the last few years, I now like mushrooms and olives. I became curious about sea scallops recently, convinced I would like them now after having tried them in my childhood and spitting them out into a napkin. I swear I did it as politely as possible! Last weekend, while my friend Tracy was visiting,  we ventured to Bonefish Grill with my husband. Tracy got scallops and shrimp for her entrée and she let me try one. I loved it! Juicing With My Bestie

My best friend, Tracy, from high school came to visit over the weekend! She has successfully been losing weight with dietary changes which include juicing daily. She was inspired by the film, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead that helped Joe Cross lose weight and get off all his medications in 60 days. This movie is super inspiring! Turkey Thighs in the Crockpot

Turkey is not just for Thanksgiving! Try turkey thighs in the crockpot, succulent fall off the bone meat. So good and flavorful. Dark meat is richer tasting than white, but the caloric difference is actually minimal, contrary to popular belief. Comparing ounce per ounce, dark meat has 50 calories and white turkey breast meat contains 46 calories. Dark meat has tons of flavor, it’s quite moist, and it’s higher in B-vitamins, iron, and zinc than white meat. (more…)


Hearty Turkey Pasta Sauce

I’m always looking to add greens to meals and adding spinach into pasta sauce is an easy way to bump up the nutritional profile of this dish.

You could be eating in 30 minutes or less. All you need are the 4 ingredients below. Baby spinach, pasta sauce, whole grain (wheat or gluten-free) rotini pasta, and ground turkey.
